I have been coaching in various forms for over 33 years as my profession. I’ve worked with people in just about every area of life, all around the country. I’ve had
a successful business for over 30 years and was co-founder of a business consulting company. All have been in the field of helping the individual. I have extensive experience in the subjects of communication, ethics, problem solving, counseling and human evaluation.
Coaching in the non-athletic field is a relatively new subject, that has become popular and I think justifiably so. Because when used in the tradition of Socrates and his pupils, Plato and Aristotle, you can positively effect the individual for the better through getting him to see things for himself by coaching him in to looking and perceiving and then acting correctly to a positive improvement. Advice is of secondary importance, though, it can be very effective if used in the proper sequence thus, I’ve found that people are much more willing to accept advice if they are allowed and or gotten to look and perceive for themselves first. I’ve never found an individual who didn’t want to know for himself first and foremost. I think that when one can do this, it validates the “rightness” in us and we all know we want to be right about the things in our lives. For rightness is what leads us to happiness and success. These things are the result of us having been right; made the right choice, acted correctly, had the right thought or feeling or chose the right person for something.
So, by now I suppose you’ve guessed that my approach is one of recognizing that you are the master of your own destiny and the winning of the game called your life is more likely, if you have the ability to play the game well by coming to know, through good coaching when appropriate, the right observation, choices and actions to take. I believe:
“Winning is in You”
I look forward to meeting you if you choose to reach for CenterLine Coaching. And if not, my best wishes for you finding that path to winning in life personally as well as professionally.
All the best in playing the game,
Curt Wilson
